"It's not that the technology is the existential threat. It's technology's ability to bring out the worst in society, and it's the worst of society that is the existential threat." - The Social Dilemma
Hello dear traveller, we gather here today amongst this land of technology - the internet. This post may sound a little ironic, but I tell you that you'll eventually be told the truth and be able to think for yourself, in which it'll seem a little less ironic.
You probably got confused by that. I'll just get straight to the point, three words:
The Social Dilemma.
It's a documentary on Netflix about social media and all the underlying techniques and activities in correlation to many statistics and activities happening today. It's important to be exposed to the truth (though it's extremely hard to know the truth), and this well-backed-up, well-rounded, very reasonable documentary explains it in very clear, succinct words and reliable sources.
It has a good message, and is there not for the sake of profit, but for the sake of humanity.
I'll leave it to you to check it out. As you can see, this blog is about personal development, perception and the such, but this post in particular is a little different as it skews into the news of today's world. Yet, it's still totally relevant in many ways, including our psychology and our awareness; you'll see when you watch.
Take care of yourself on the web. Have a nice day :)
