"... Do it with the good in mind." - Jordan Peterson
I'd like to preface this post by mentioning that there was a context behind this short phrase. It's from a video where Peterson was discussing 'developing your inner psychopath', and that developing a bond with that 'psychopath' inside of you allows yourself to know when you meet one, so you prepare yourself to stand up for yourself when you may become exploited. An insightful video, check it out here: https://youtu.be/WgJ1n9DF1WE
Disregarding the context because I'm looking at this snippet of quote.
Any action can seem kind, mean, wrong, right, or something completely different. What some may ask here is 'what are their intentions'? What are they trying to get from me? Now as for us ourselves, we can do what we want to do, but like Peterson suggests: we should do it voluntarily. Deliberately. What comes out of our mouth is intentional, and that choice of whether to say something, what to say if you do etc. etc. will then come with its consequences.
So, what impact are you going to have, based on what you're doing now? Oh yeah, doing nothing is also a choice, too, and anyone who chooses not to change anything will have to be hit with those consequences.
With the good.
