“The fish trap exists because of the fish. Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap. The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit. Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?” - Zhuang zi
Words do exist to share a message - a meaning. I suppose with how the western culture goes nowadays we overlook the usual, the simple, the things in front of us to look at the unusual, further away from the purpose of certain things in the first place. An example, when people of my generation and further in the past were younger, we'd had the childhoods before the outburst in technology. We did what children did, you know, draw with crayons, spend more time in the world that so welcomed us to these experiences. These days... the trend says otherwise. In other words, we're going further from the purpose of some of the most essential things.
Childhoods are for growth of mind. Current progress doesn't seem too safe right now... It's not entirely bad, no, I'm not saying the idea these days are worse than nothing else, I'm sharing what a magnificent book has taught me to open my eyes once again. Yes, it was 'The Te of Piglet'. The Way of people who follow Taoist philosophies are truly peaceful and fun :D
