“The baby looks at things all day without winking; that is because his eyes are not focused on any particular object. He goes without knowing where he is going, and stops without knowing what he is doing. He merges himself within the surroundings and moves along with it. These are the principles of mental hygiene.” - Zhuang zi
When I read this, I feel a nice flow to it... the use of words, yes, however especially the meaning. Mental health is important if you want to have control of yourself, is one thing. The mind of a baby... we've all been there, yet it's become easy to leave a clear, water mind with what we face today. Things such as becoming dependent on technology (yes, this blog is through the internet, but please steer away from this to try to interpret my point here ^^;) to the point where it's become so much of an expectation has completely left the fundamentals of life and the Earth behind quite far back.
I began trailing off there at the end, I had gotten this idea yet again from 'The Te of Piglet'. I gotta do what's to be done, and only that. To move onwards and upwards! Well, it is hard to move backwards, so the only things relating to that to be upset about is not moving at all, that's a worthy fear though. We've seen it in the quotes. Goodnight!
